How to edit Sustainability ♻️ attribute for a place on Google Maps

Hello Fellow LGs,

We all are concerned about Mother Planet - ‘The Earth’. And, we do our best to save our planet in whatever capacity we can do in our day-to-day life. It is our responsibility to take action towards preserving the nature and choosing sustainability.

To further support this, we have got a wonderful platform as a Google Maps through which we can help in choosing eco-friendly place and sustainability. Even our small contribution will make a difference.

Let us contribute to Increase Visibility on Sustainability.

One of the simplest yet effective ways to help others choose Sustainability :recycle: by promoting sustainability attributes of a place by updating the Recycling descriptions for a place[1] on Google Maps.

How to Edit Sustainability attribute for a place on Google Maps:[2]

Here are the step-by-step guidelines to be followed to edit Sustainability attribute of a place on Google Maps. And, to explain hands on experience, I have taken the example of Fabindia, Khan Market, New Delhi, Delhi 110003. This is also one of my contributions on Sustainability on Google Maps.

Step 1: Go to the profile of the business on Google Maps. In this example Fabindia and tap on About as shown in Photo 1.

Step 2: Go to Edit features tab under Features as shown in Photo 2.

Step 3: Go to Recycling section as shown in Photo 3.

Step 4: From the given descriptions, tap a description to change it to:

  • True True
  • False False
  • Unsure Unsure

And tap on the Submit as shown in Photo 4.

I have edited Sustainability attributes for Fabindia as depicted in this photo as False for both recycling descriptions.

Once the Submit is tapped, you get a Thank you message as shown in Photo 5.

It is so simple to edit Sustainability attribute for a place on Google Maps through the recycling descriptions. It does not take much of time but its impact is huge and helps Recycle to Save Earth to Save Yourself.

Hope you find this post useful.
