There is always a room for improvement in whichever system we build. All the features can not be thought of right at the inception phase and hence most of them keep on evolving.
In the series of Evolving Features of Google Map, I would suggest to further enhance the uploading and re uploading photos option for the Contribution Local Guides make.
All Local Guides keep on sharing their experiences and share photos on Google map. At times while uploading the photos we may come across the situation where in photos get uploaded to the wrong place /location.
While there is an option to delete and freshly upload the photos at correct place, what I feel that there should be a provision to swap the location to make it correct. This way local guides will enjoy the already views of their photos. Whereas upon deleting and again uploading at the right location will lose the number of views.
Hope the team will take this up and work on the enhanced feature which is more user (Local Guides) friendly.
Antes do programa Local Guide o Google Mapas teve outros beta-programas com o mesmo intuito que por diversas razões não prosperaram.
Em um dos programas, que hoje não lembro o nome, esse assunto da sua sugestão foi levantado, e a resposta do Google Mapas na época pelo “colaborador” Gus Moreira foi que: “por ser um volume muito pequeno ocasionado pelos usuários, que afeta um universo ínfimo de Contribuições com solução que poder ser utilizado pelo próprio usuário, não há interesse nesse momento de implementar tal recurso para um universo tão pequeno. Mas no futuro…”
Não é uma opinião, eu sei. Só um histórico na sua sugestão.
Na mesma linha de raciocínio de sua sugestão eu gostaria que o Google permitisse que tivéssemos o direito ao arrependimento depois de enviar qualquer edição. Eu já cometi o equívoco de enviar edições incorretas, por vários fatores: distração, dedos grandes para uma tela de celular pequena etc. E algum desses equívocos, criados por mim, foi muito difícil corrigir depois. Seria muito bom se pudéssemos desfazer uma edição enviada. Mas também sei que tecnicamente isso requer mais processamento etc. Seria útil para um volume grande de usuários? Não sei.

However, I still feel that with the help of technology this is not something which can’t be done. Secondly, even if such mistakes are tiny as compared to the tons of data available across the world, such accumulated mistakes may cause disruption in coming future.
At the same time this also gives contributors (Local Guides) a chance to rectify the mistakes without losing any credentials.
Infact, Google should appreciate and encourage such netizenship of Local Guides by enhancing features that help the community.
