Accessibility for All - The Movement

The goal of the Accessibility for ALL movement for local guides is to extend the limits of updating accessible places on Google Maps beyond conventional notions of ramps and icons using innovative ideas while championing an inclusive culture.

The Accessibility for All movement uses the Gurugram Pattern that emerged during a series of accessibility meetups conducted in Gurugram and Delhi during the past two months. The following are the features of the Gurugram pattern that you can adapt to join the Accessibility for All movement:

1. Focus on one type of Place of Interest or PoI at a time like a metro station, mall, hospital, bank, Voice ATM, and so on.
2. Capture photos of accessibility features for the differently-abled, the visually challenged, and also those with hearing impairments.
3. Stamp the photos with these accessibility icons to show if they passed/failed the assessment and upload them to Google Maps.

Re: Accessibility for All - The Movement

Thank you @C_T

Making accessibility features standard criteria for POIs could go a long way in making the review perfect and beneficial for those who need it.
