Celebrating Faith, Culture, Charity & Community Together
Dear Local Guides,
As we do every year, Bangladesh Local Guides are excited to launch “Inspiring Ramadan’26”, a global community initiative centered around the holy month of Ramadan—observed by Muslims worldwide through fasting, prayer, charity, and spiritual reflection from dawn until sunset.
Local Guides Connect is a beautifully diverse platform where we celebrate cultures and traditions from around the world—Christmas, Puja, regional festivals, and more. Ramadan is an equally important religious and cultural period, and through this initiative, we aim to highlight its values, traditions, and community spirit globally.
A brief background
The Inspiring Ramadan initiative was first introduced in 2017 by @SoniaK . Since then, Bangladesh Local Guides have proudly continued this tradition every year, with participation from Local Guides across multiple countries.
What’s Planned for Inspiring Ramadan’26?
This year, the initiative is divided into three main activity tracks, allowing everyone to participate from their own communities and countries.
Charity Program
Ramadan emphasizes compassion, generosity, and sharing with those in need.
In previous years, our activities included:
-
Donating wheelchairs to people with disabilities
-
Providing Eid clothes to street children
-
Sharing meals at orphanages and shelters
This year, you are welcome to organize a local charity activity with your community.

2. Iftar Bazaar Photo Walk
After a full day of fasting, Muslims break their fast at sunset with Iftar. In many countries, special Iftar bazaars or food markets appear during Ramadan, offering unique seasonal foods not available year-round.
You can organize an Iftar Bazaar–focused Photo Walk Meetup and share your local food culture with the world.
