The Lafayette Greens ♻ Sustainability in the Heart of a Concrete Jungle

The Lafayette Greens shine like an oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle of downtown Detroit.

It is adjacent to the iconic American Coney Island.

The Greening of Detroit is a compact urban green space with organic veggie gardens, statues & seasonal events.

The Greening of Detroit – Lafayette Greens is a great place to see how the city of Detroit is evolving.

This small urban garden showcases Detroit’s efforts to turn once-barren, grey spaces into vibrant green areas. It was a great spot for me to see how the city is transforming.

I enjoyed walking in Detroit, appreciating the amazing street art.

But treasures like the Greening of Detroit were a nice escape from the rush of downtown.

A beautiful garden that was well-maintained and laid out.

There was quite a selection of plants along with sculptures and paintings.

So if you are in Detroit, the next time, don’t forget to visit this great patch of greenery in the middle of the concrete jungle.

Just find a bench or a picnic on the ground and enjoy some beautiful flowers and quiet time in the city.

That’s an amazing comment park @TusharSuradkar .

By the way, who owns it? Municipal or Community nearby? If community is taking care of it, we should give them the appreciation!

Yes, most likely the community or some NGO @Rahul001

But, definitely not the municipal corporation

Yes, these efforts gone into setting up and maintaining this huge space are huge too :flexed_biceps:

So they deserve an accolade

So eine Grünanlage ist immer eine Augenweide @TusharSuradkar und ich denke es ist noch die Anfangsphase der Bepflanzung und des Wachstums, jetzt im Sommer wird alles noch viel prächtiger aussehen.
