Joe Louis Statue and Photo Collage in Detroit

Inside Huntington Place in Detroit is a huge mural that features, among others, legendary boxer Joe Louis.

Also in the lobby and registration area is a full-size statue.

This has reference to The Fist Monument, which I mentioned in the previous post.

The Huntington Place is a huge convention center where I attended a conference in June 2025.

Here’s an external view of Huntington Place, with the People Mover train track seen on the right, also the Detroit River, the Princess Cruise Ship, and the General Motors global headquarters building in the background. Across the river is Canada.

Joe Louis is a legendary boxer from Detroit, and his photo also appears in the ‘Detroit Collage’ on a large wall of the VIP Lounge of the Huntington Place.

Dem Boxer wird ja wirklich sehr viel Ehre zu Teil und auf der Collage befinden sich weitere mir bekannte Sänger und noch ein Sportler der mir nicht bekannt ist.
