I can’t believe that we are on the last stretch of Community Spotlight 2025!! And 2025 is slowly coming to a close!
For more Spotlight goodness, check out these past recap posts:
- Recap on Canada, TRAC and Cambodia spotlight weeks (Weeks 45-46)
- Recap on Nigeria, India and Francophone spotlight weeks (Weeks 47-48)
If I thought that I could rest for a bit, I was certainly proven wrong as Team Indonesia
certainly unlocked the flood gates and gave us 20 posts to showcase the culture, food and various amazing places of Indonesia! They also organised 5 in-person meet-ups across different locations in East Jawa. Team Indonesia is one of several large and active communities across the program, and I can recommend checking out their mega meet-up event called Meet-Up Nusantara (MUN). Find out more about Team Indonesia
from their posts below.

During that same week, across the globe, we also had the wonderful Team Mexico
giving us a tour of Mexico! I also discovered that regional communities in Mexico also gave themselves fun nicknames; Team Tacos (Mexico City), Team Tequila (Jalisco), Team Carne Asada (Nuevo León), Team Querétaro & Team Burritos (Juárez City), and Team Enchiladas Potosinas (San Luis Potosi)! If you’re keen to know more about them, check out their posts below.

Last but not certainly the least, we had Team Argentina
coming in strong to introduce us to their community! Did you know that their community was set-up during the days of City Experts, the program that became Local Guides in 2015?! @Jesi must have been a baby at that time!
Did you also know that they dedicated 3 out of their 5 Spotlight posts on food and drinks! Makes you wonder if all they ever think about is when the next mate meet-up is going to be! To find out more about Team Argentina
, check out their posts below.

And this video was buried in their in-person meet-up recap post which I am happy to shine some community spotlight onto it!
This week is the final week of Community Spotlight and we have the honour of having Team Google
share some community love with us all! I was forewarned that their planned posts won’t be as awesome as all the other participating communities but, erm… hello!!!.. they’ve knocked it out the ball park! So watch out for all their posts this week! ![]()
A gentle reminder that the Big Year End party is taking place on Sunday, 21st December. This virtual meet-up will be hosted by @ErmesT and @KarenVChin and the time was chosen to make the meet-up as global as possible (apologies to those in the far, far East when it’s past midnight!). We would love to have as many people attend it and it will not only be a wrap-up to Community Spotlight but to everything in 2025! Details and RSVP are in this link! See you all there! ![]()
