I have shared a list of these museums on Google Maps:
Pick your museum and look up the nearest metro station number to reach there.
Then walk a bit or take an auto rickshaw to reach the museum.
Here is the tally of Pune museums:
Purple Line = 7 museums
Aqua Line = 18 museums
Line 3 = 18 museumes
This reminds me of Delhi.
I lived there five years ago, for five years.
I mapped the 44 museums in Delhi to its 9 metro lines.
The Delhi metro is 250+ km in length.
I have published line-wise museum lists on Google Maps as below:
The first metro in India started in Kolkata, so it would be a great tribute to map the museums and cultural spots in the city for easy access and reach for local guides
Wowww this is very detailed information for someone who is traveling to Pune for the first time like me. This would be very easy way to see which way to go and see single line museums in one day. Thank you for sharing @TusharSuradkar
Oh yes I saw you mentioned. I have visited almost 38 museums so far since I am born and raised here in Delhi and I still remember every museum trip from my school time. I wish you explore Delhi even more.
wow!
I am jealous @ShreyaMusings
We used to visit at least 1-2 museums every weekend.
Sad that the lockdown came in and we had to return home to Pune.
But I am determined to travel Delhi again and visit the remaining museums
That’s pretty nicely sorted, @TusharSuradkar . It’s really easy now anyone to plan to visit museums in Pune. I just your earlier series of Museums in Delhi.
@TusharSuradkar dada Wow, this is a really helpful formative clubbed post. I appreciate you providing this knowledge. The graphic of the metro lines with the notations looks good.
You have done a great contribution, I know, this needs a lot of effort and dedication. It will also benefit tourists and local people by helping them plan their visits easily. I remember I used your shared list when I visited Delhi. Thanks for sharing dear @TusharSuradkar ji.
