Visiting the Constitution Park of Pune on Constitution Day

26 November is celebrated as Constitution Day in India.

The Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution of India on November 26, 1949

On this occasion, I visited the Constitution Park in Pune.

This is adjoining the National War Memorial where Durga hosted her meetup on 24 November 2024.

They also have a clock tower inside the Park.

The first page of the constitution of India is carved and etched in marble and erected on 4 sides of a monument inside the park.

The entrance to the park is accessible with ramps on both sides of the stairs.

There is also a walking and jogging track inside along the periphery.

A fabulous Gazebo provides for lavish seating.
We had our Google Maps quiz here during the meetup last weekend.

The top attraction of the park is the Constitution Tree which bears fruits in the form of messages like:

  1. Respect for the flag and national anthem.
  2. Cherish the idea of freedom struggle.
  3. Uphold the sovereignty and unity of India.
  4. Defend the country and render national service.
  5. Promote harmony and brotherhood.
  6. PReserve rich heritage and culture.
  7. Develop scientific temper and humanism.
  8. Safeguard public property.
  9. Strive for excellence.

A similar constitution museum also exists in Delhi which I visited in 2021
Museum #11 on Delhi Metro Yellow Line Dr Ambedkar National Museum

The entire building looks like a book - which is the Constitution of India.

Did you visit there with @Raj_Tayade during our Google Meeting last month?
Did you also see the animated statue of Dr. Ambedkar?

Here is the link to the video that I took at the museum:
