Recap of the Aga Khan Palace Meetup in Pune

The vibrant community of Local Guides of Pune are super excited about meetups.
We take turns to host a meetup and the rest attend and enjoy it.

On Sunday, April 13, 2024 Anannya_19 hosted the meetup at the historic Aga Khan Palace in Pune.

• 10 local guides attended it.
• 10 more attended the meetup online.
• 4 local guides attended the meetup for the first time.
• Family members of local guides are increasingly attending meetups in Pune.

Early birds me and @ShubhamWaman were greeted by Ananya.

Later many local guides from all over India and globally joined via Google Meet.
@TravellerG @ShailendraOjha @Nidhish_Jaju @RaviSharma111 @Praniketmore @Sagarkanherkar @Raj_Tayade

@Durgak03 and @tanishqsj were first time attendees in person.
Experienced local guides provided information about the Connect platform.

We did accessibility checks at the following places:

  1. Main Entrance.
  2. Parking.
  3. Galleries.
  4. Recycle Bins.

Then we moved over to the nearby Irani Cafe and did accessibility check at the entrance and for the parking.

Also had the famous Bun Maska and Irani Tea, before parting ways at the end of a fun filled and enjoyable 2 hours of meetup.

Last but not the least, Ananya shared these amazing and elegant keychains with the Local Guides theme:

My review of Aga Khan Palace.
My review of Irani Cafe.

Local Guides are next meeting in Kolhapur, which is about 300 km from Pune.

Nice review post @TusharSuradkar and describe well. I like the photo collages with accessibility mark. By seeing those joyful expressions, you guys enjoyed a lot. You looks more lively in all meetups, like the early bird line ,which sounds nice to encourage new LGs

Thank you dear @ShailendraOjha

All credit goes to attendees - those who take time to attend.

In fact, I remember I conducted 20+ meetups in Delhi.

But no one attend a single meetup.

Thank you, dear @Praniketmore for the appreciation.

Early birds are those who reach a party on time or a bit early

In Pune, they say why do you want to reach there on time?

भांडी चाटायला जायचे आहे का ?

Excellent recap as usual, @TusharSuradkar .

These meet-ups have now become events in Pune, which is indeed very encouraging, and all credit goes to you for initiating them.

No credits mate. we are a group and move ahead together.

Building a group is phase 1 which I could do.

You took the group along together gracefully and energetically and built the momentum @AjitThite :+1:

Now it is up to upcoming local guide to shape it further and keep going…

I think there are quite many Irani cafes in Mumbai as well?

Let’s have a meetup over Chai the next time in Mumbai.

Tea + Coffee + Books are a toxic combo, or Trio I should say
