Out of 32 Scavenger Hunt meet-ups hosted globally, 12 were hosted by the India Local Guides community, 6 by Bangladesh Local Guides, 3 by the UK, 2 by Indonesia, and 1 each by the Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Pakistan, and Portugal Local Guides communities.
After the announcement of the LG10ScavengerHunt meetups, the first meetup on Connect was approved on 30th August. I then shared the planning process and the approval details of this meetup here
On the day of the meetup, early in the morning, I again posted on Connect with instructions on installing the app, joining the team, and a final call to participate in the meetup. You can read that post here.
On 7th September, after the meetup, I shared the recap post and invited everyone to share their participation experiences on Connect. Fortunately, 8 out of 10 participants shared their experiences, which you can read here: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
In addition, some Local Guides from other teams also shared their Scavenger Hunt participation experiences. You can read those here: 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14.
Recently, I’ve shared two posts related to this initiative—one inviting everyone to participate or host meet-ups, and another explaining the use of the LET’S ROAM app. This post is summary of all LG10ScavengerHunt meetups held so far, and I will continue updating it to cover every meetup at a glance.
A Note on Team Name Technicalities
As mentioned in the official announcement post, there was a specific pattern suggested for team names. However, while reviewing the Let’s Roam leaderboard, I noticed that several teams did not follow this pattern.
Because of this, identifying teams on the leaderboard took extra effort. To ensure accuracy, I:
- Matched meet-up recap photographs
- Cross-checked them with team photos on the Let’s Roam app
Based on this verification, I compiled the details below for community reference.
