My fellow Local Guides,
I am excited to share my experience of planning and getting approval for #LG10 Scavenger Hunt meet-up in Delhi. This journey has been full of learning, teamwork, and community spirit.
Steps I Followed to Submit Meetup Proposal:
Here are the 6 simple steps I used for creating and submitting meetup:
- Planned a meetup for LG10ScavengerHunt in Delhi.
- Created a shareable list on Google Maps for including points of interest. (During the meetup, team members can keep adding the places they visit in this list for future reviews and contributions.)
- Installed Letβs Roam app on my mobile and created the team.
- Drafted a meetup post on Connect including the link of the shareable list and team invite code.
- Submitted it for approval.
- Received the approval (after making a minor correction suggested by @DeniGu β thank you for the guidance
).
Steps I Took to Install the Letβs Roam App and Create a Team:
Edit: I suggest not following the steps mentioned here, as I signed in to the Letβs Roam app with my mobile number. Instead, please sign in anonymously using your Connect username. The steps are shared in this post: #LG10 Scavenger Hunt at Chandni Chowk, Delhi 6 β Join Us Today
Here I am presenting 15 screenshots of my mobile across 3 slides, showing the process of installing the Letβs Roam app and creating my team on it. For the meet-up titled [#LG10ScavengerHunt] Delhi_Sep07_StreetBitesLovers, the team name should follow the format: Delhi_Sep07_StreetBitesLovers.
Knowledge Sharing Session
Yesterday, I also organized an unofficial virtual meet-up on the theme:
How to participate and organize Scavenger Hunt meet-ups.
- The session was attended by 17 Local Guides. Thank you to @Kumaarsantosh, @AjitThite, @PrasadVR, @PrinceKumar and Connect Moderator @TusharSuradkar for providing valuable inputs during the knowledge-sharing session on LG10 Scavenger Hunt and contributing to its success. Special thanks to @SarathUpendran, @Supriyadevkar, @Rushikesh_joshi, @Shrut19, @deepakjhic, @VijendraPatidar, @Kuldip_Patil, and @Vikram Bishnoi, @Rohitash Singh Yadav for making this session a great success.
- Two Connect Moderators @Globe_trotter_Ish and Tushar Suradkar also joined us, sparing time from their schedule to share their well wishes. Their presence really encouraged us.
- After a fruitful discussion, the team gave me the responsibility to create a post.
Growing Teams on Letβs Roam
When I first created the team on the Letβs Roam app, we had just 2 teams. Now, Iβm happy to share that the number has grown to 10 teams! (The team name should follow the format: Delhi_Sep07_StreetBitesLovers)
This shows the enthusiasm and excitement of Local Guides to celebrate #LG10 Scavenger Hunt in fun and creative ways.
Closing Thoughts
The Scavenger Hunt is not just an activity β itβs an opportunity for us to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the incredible Local Guides community together.
A big thank you to @Kristen_NYC for initiating this fun format, and to all the Local Guides and moderators who are supporting and motivating each other.
Letβs keep the spirit high and make #LG10 memorable! ![]()
