Let me tell you, the day was quite exhausting after walking so long, it felt like my legs might give up!
And I wasn’t alone many of us felt the same way. But deep down, we all knew something amazing was about to happen. And yes, it truly did!
Last Saturday, we joined the Scavenger Hunt Meetup. The event kicked off in front of Navana Tower, Gulshan-1, where we met familiar faces and new Local Guides. From the very beginning, the vibe was cheerful full of smiles, laughter, and friendly energy.
I started with a selfie for one of the challenges, and then it was time for one exciting task after another some of us took photos of Gulshan’s shops, some corrected errors on Google Maps, and others kept exploring new places around the area.
One of the most interesting challenges was saying the word “Explore” in different languages. In Bangla, it’s “অন্বেষণ,” in Hindi, “Khoj Karna,” and in Urdu, “Talash Karna.” Hearing everyone pronounce it in their own way felt like we were representing different countries united by one community spirit!
Finally, we reached Gulshan-2, exploring places like DNCC Market and Unimart Supershop. For me, the stop at Chef’s Table was special during the video challenge, we reviewed menu items, discussed global fast foods, and discovered different cultural food varieties. Even after completing around 45 challenges, everyone still had a big smile on their face. ![]()
It was wonderful meeting so many energetic and inspiring people Kamrul Bhai, Motiur, Shahriar, Naiem, Solaiman Bhai, and many others. It honestly felt like I had known them for years!
A special thanks goes to @ShafiulB (Bhai), who hosted the meetup despite his busy schedule. His dedication and leadership are always inspiring.
We surely missed a few familiar faces who couldn’t make it this time hopefully, we’ll meet at the next one, Insha’Allah.
All in all, it was a joyful, meaningful, and inspiring day, we proudly secured 3rd place with a total score of 16,280, Team LG Bangla Dhaka.
