Global First^ LG10ScavengerHunt Meet-up in Delhi, India
The global first-ever^ LG10ScavengerHunt meet-up took place in Delhi, India, on 7th September 2025 – and what an amazing day it turned out to be! A big thank you once again to @Kristen_NYC for launching this super-fun game.
The excitement was double – first because it was already designed in such an interesting and playful manner, and second, because we realized during the meet-up that this was the first Scavenger Hunt happening anywhere in the world!
Gathering at Omaxe Mall
Although the meet-up was scheduled for 1 PM, we started gathering from 12 noon.
- Vipin was the first to arrive, followed by Hemendu, Santosh ji, Ruchee, Shalz, Vikas ji, eNkay, Gaurav, and Siddharth.
Everyone greeted each other, laughing and saying, “I’m playing this for the first time, please guide me!” – setting the tone for a fun-filled day.
We took a group photo with the special banner, designed by me using AI for this meet-up.

A big thanks to Gaurav Sharma for the photo, and to Vikas ji for suggesting this wonderful spot for our group picture.
Virtual Greetings
On the morning of the event, I had posted instructions on how to join the team using Connect usernames. Initially, when only five of us were present, everyone joined correctly.
As planned earlier, Ajit ji (@AjitThite) hosted a short virtual meet to greet us. Even though some of us had network issues in the food court, Santosh ji, Vipin ang Gaurav managed to join, and everyone including @TravellerG, @PrasadVR, @Gurukrishnapriya, @Manishhh, @ShreyaMusings, @Shaunak, @NituGogoi, @Raj_Tayade, @RAJ0071, @VijendraPatidar, @ReshamDas, and Sudhanshu Yadav sent their greetings.
A big thanks to Ajit ji forhosting this virtual meet and taking screenshot.
In the meantime, Vikas ji kindly ordered dosa and coffee for all of us. Just after the virtual meet, we officially kicked off the hunt!
The Scavenger Hunt Begins
The app showed 45 tasks/trivia questions. Initially, we thought of dividing into 5 groups, but as I couldn’t find an option to split tasks within the app, we decided to stay as one big team.
I distributed paper and pencils so members could note down ideas and contributions. It was heartening to see members jotting down their Google Maps contributions as part of the tasks.
Our first activity was to take an epic group photo. In excitement, I accidentally clicked just a selfie of us in the food court . From there, the hunt truly began!
Team Spirit & Creativity
We moved together through the lanes of Chandni Chowk, attempting each challenge. For some activities, we had to take multiple retakes – like creating a Maps pin. Our first attempt scored zero in creativity, but after rethinking, we managed 50 points.
In many other tasks, we scored 70–80 for creativity and 100 for accuracy – thanks to the younger members’ creative ideas.
At 4 PM, I felt it was time to wrap up, but the team’s energy was unstoppable! ‘Just a few more left, let’s complete them!’ they insisted with so much excitement. Their enthusiasm kept me going too, and we finally wrapped up and dispersed happily at 6:30 PM.
Challenging but Rewarding Tasks
Some challenges were really tough and took quite some time to crack, but our amazing teamwork turned it all into a victory! A big shout-out to Shalz for actively engaging with local shopkeepers, Gaurav and Enkay for capturing the spirit through photography, Ruchee for her creative spark, and Santosh ji, Vikas ji, and Vipin for their valuable inputs. Together, with unstoppable determination and energy, we not only overcame every hurdle but also celebrated a fantastic achievement — scoring an incredible 16,635 points!
Truly a team effort to remember!
Chai Pe Charcha
The discussions we had over Dosa, Tea, and Coffee were so lively that we decided to dedicate them to Tushar’s (@TusharSuradkar) “Chai Pe Charcha” challenge. It was the perfect blend of fun, food, and friendship.
Final Reflections
The India Local Guides, Delhi team worked with great energy, creativity, and collaboration. Though we faced unexpected hurdles, we turned them into moments of laughter and learning.
This global-first^ LG10ScavengerHunt will always be a memorable milestone in our Local Guides journey.

^ How I Concluded It is the First Global LG10ScavengerHunt Meet-up
I am saying this is the global first-ever LG10ScavengerHunt Met-up based on two observations:
- As of 7th September, only three meet-ups with the LG10ScavengerHunt tag are approved on Connect.
- On the Let’s Roam app, most of the teams are still showing a score of zero even on 8th September (screenshot attached for reference).
Currently, my team is in the first position, while the team names in second and third place are not as per the guidelines, and their meetup proposals are not listed on Connect. The fact that the remaining 17 teams still show zero score indicates that the hunt has not yet started. Interestingly, out of the 20 teams available by the evening of 8th September, only 7 follow the correct nomenclature.
