Love is in the Air and we love being a Local Guide. Today is Valentine’s Day (February 14th) and today is to show New and Active Local Guides Couples into the Community.
This “Celebrate Valentine’s Day with me & local guides couples” has a subseries Challenge called Love is in the Air (and on the Map) with collaboration of @TusharSuradkar’s “I 
Sign” series. In this post, I want to show a new Local Guides couple and a well known active Local Guides Couple to the Connect Community.
Meet @TravellerG & @LathaKN

TravellerG (Guiding Star, Meetup Champion and Top Movers & Shakers leaderboard champion 2024) & Mrs.TG are from Bangalore, India and a valuable couple for this Valentine’s Day.
Let’s hear what this inspiring and lovely couple have to say:
- As a married couple, Do you two often plan outings and tell us about any favourite restaurants/cafes that you two visit together?
TravellerG and Mrs.TG celebrating this Valentine’s Week in Olive Street.
Answer : We have two travels, one for attending ceremonies like marriage (mostly in Kerala) and other one as a couple, we go out exploring places and restaurants. Though we don’t have any specific destination, more often we visit a Vegetarian Restaurant near our house - Olive Street.
- (a). What do you (Mrs.TG) have to say about having a partner who is a Guiding Star and a meet-up Champion?
Answer : I’m proud of my husband and appreciate his dedication to Google Maps and Connect activities. I am sure he is very happy with it and that makes me very happy. I am happy to be a part of this valentine’s day and thanks for this opportunity.
- (b). What do you (TravellerG) have to say about having a partner who supports you in your travel and Local Guides activities?
Answer : I’m sure that I’m able to dedicate this much time only because of my wife. She totally supports this LG’s activities whether flying thousands of Kilometres to attend meetups or hosting LGs at home.
- Share with us any special moments related to Google Maps while travelling?
Answer : Once we ( Me, Wife and Daughter) had a long drive from Alleppey to Bangalore via Wayanad, we stayed in a resort which was deep in the interior (forest area). Unfortunately by the time we reached Wayanad, it was too late and we were totally dependent on Google Maps for navigation.
- Do you two have any special moments together with other Local Guides in the community?
Answer : Yes we had, when me and my wife jointly enjoyed the Ahmedabad Science City Meetup hosted by @NareshDarji. Next two days, we had a wonderful time at Ahemdabad with Naresh and @Tejal. We visited a lot of places with tourist attractions during and after the meetup.

Ashvin, author and founder of Booksthakam (a book publisher) & Deepthi, editor-in-chief of Booksthakam. I can proudly say Booksthakam is a couple-owned business where it is also known for publishing the book of Joshua Bejoy (India’s youngest best selling Author). Deepthi is also a well-known author who made first English novel from a Malayalam Movie (Roy).

- How did you two meet each other?
Answer: We met each other on a Google meet for an online discussion about Publication.
- How are you two planning to celebrate this Valentine’s Day?
Answer : As we are both Authors and love to read, we plan to have a reading date in The Reading Room, Trivandrum.
- Where do you two have your first Date and why do you guys pick the place?
Answer : We had our first date at Eve’s Coffee, Trivandrum since we both love the cozy atmosphere that it provides. It was not actually a date, we had our business meeting there. However after other’s left, we had our private time and kind of had our first Date.
- Which are the favourite places that you two travelled together using Google Maps?

Answer : Google Maps was a great companion to us when we went on our International Trips. We had our entire trip planned using Google Maps, including where to eat and what to eat. Our favourite food place that we went to using Google Maps was Madam Khanh - The Banh-Mi-Queen, a famous Banh Mi shop in Hoi An, Vietnam. We navigated through the Old Town of Hoi Ann using Google Maps but that eatery was our favourite.
- As a Couple - Owned Business, How Google Maps have made your days better?
Answer : Having our business in Google Maps helped to enhance our credibility and visibility, though our clients belong to different parts of India. It has also helped us to choose Venues for our events.
- Do you want to share any messages to the community this Valentine’s Day?
Answer : As the word suggests, ‘Connect’ irrespective of where you are from and what you do.
