May 1st is Global Love Day 
, a day dedicated to spreading unconditional love and building bridges between people across the world. For us, the Local Guides community is the perfect example of this. Beyond the maps and reviews, it’s the genuine community love and support we show each other every day that makes this journey so special. As we celebrate our shared passion, we remember that whether we are helping a local business or guiding a traveller, every contribution is a small act of love for our world. This Global Love Day, let’s also look back at how we celebrated love, connection & community during Valentine’s month. It’s those moments of togetherness that define us.

A Fresh Look for a Vibrant Community 
The way we present ourselves as a community is evolving! It’s been an exciting time with the introduction of a fresh new look for Local Guides. We have also taken an active role in shaping our identity by voting for the Local Guides community-owned logo, ensuring our visual representation matches our spirit. If you want to add a personal touch to your profile, don’t forget to get a custom Local Guides sticker with your selfies.
Spreading the Love Globally 
Our community stories are a testament to the power of connection across countries & languages. Recently, we have seen incredible initiatives like @NunungAfuah sharing East Java Local Guides stories on the radio 
to amplify our impact, while @AjitThite celebrated 
a major milestone of memories and gratitude that reflects our collective growth also. Cultural bonds 
were strengthened through @cuicani’s virtual meetup celebrating Francophonie & @SarahKa brought us together through a delicious 
gastronomic tour at Mercado Novo in Brazil.
We also saw the warmth of our network in how @Ankitsrivastava detailed the thoughtful way our community shares gifts 
and appreciation with one another. Inclusion remains at our core, as shown by @Manishhh during the Delhi Queer Pride 
Meetup where the community walked with pride and mapped with love. We also have inspiring dialogues like @shaileno’s Community Conversation 
series, which highlights & celebrates the unique voices of our community. Furthermore, we continue to fall in love with supporting small local businesses 
, proving that our passion translates into real-world impact. Finally, we welcome our new members with @SharmaKK’s Rising Stars of March 2026 
, a wonderful insight where our community celebrates its newest joinees.
