Welcome to the Rising Stars of March 2026! :tada:

Celebrating #LGC10: We launched this series back in February to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Local Guides Connect, dedicating this space to the incredible fresh voices that keep our community vibrant.

In March, we are so happy to see:

  • 225 New Friends (who gave their first like)
  • 169 Newly Popular members (who received their first like)
  • 157 New Writers (who published their first post)

The biggest stars this month are our 52 “Trifecta” Achievers! You can see the complete list here :backhand_index_pointing_right: Part 1 , Part 2. These are the super active Local Guides who earned all three of these badges in just one month.
What’s even more amazing? 45 (87%) of these 52 achievers joined Connect in March! They didn’t wait to get started—they jumped right in to share and connect with us.

Out of these, 52 Local Guides achieved the Trifecta milestone—earning all three badges (New Friend, Newly Popular, and New Writer) within the same month of March is also observed that most Trifecta Achievers are from Local Guides Levels 6, 7, and 8.

The following Local Guides earned at least one of the three beginner badges in March and have now pushed forward to hit a 100-engagement milestone:

Being ranked as a Top Trifecta Achiever and representing Argentina :argentina: at the top of this list is a true honor. It motivates me to keep pushing forward with my project ‘Destinos Invisibles’.

Today is a big day: I am about to enter a local school to implement Google for Education and Be Internet Awesome programs. My goal is to show how we, as Local Guides, can expand our impact: by sharing images that bring visibility and also by empowering communities and protecting our children in the digital world.

Your support means a lot as we work toward getting the right equipment (like the Trekker camera) to bring these ‘invisible’ places to life in high definition.

Great news, @SharmaK! I just stepped out of the meeting and it was a total success! :rocket:

The school has given us the green light to start documenting their facilities to bring them to the map. Even more importantly, they are officially joining the ‘Be Internet Awesome’ program to protect and empower their students.

It’s an amazing feeling to see ‘Destinos Invisibles’ growing from a dream into a real tool for education and community visibility. I didn’t take photos of the meeting because I was fully focused on the project, but I hope to share images of the institution very soon!
