Depends on the restaurant and locality rather. Bread slices are rarely served, at least in my experience.

Very good point @Ssiddharth2000, and easy to get confused.

The word Misal Pav is a bit misleading, in that, almost everywhere, misal is served with bread slices, and not with the pav that we use in Pav Bhaji or Vada Pav.
