Savor Authentic South Indian Delights at Mr & Mrs Idly in Pune

Hello LGs,

Let me share a recent wonderful South Indian dining experience I had in Pune.

Mr. & Mrs. Idly, located in the center of Pune, is a culinary jewel that offers an authentic South Indian dining experience at affordable prices. With two convenient locations in Bibwewadi and Pimple Saudagar in Pune, this restaurant has quickly become popular among locals due to its exquisite selection of traditional cuisine.

From fluffy idlis and crispy dosas to delicious sambhar and tangy chutneys, every item at Mr. & Mrs. Idly is a tribute to South Indian cuisine. The warm and friendly ambiance, along with the aroma of freshly cooked food, results in an amazing eating experience.

Their highlight dishes include the innovative Charcoal Dosa and the lucustomerold Dosa, both of which have become customers favorites. Whether you’re a seasoned South Indian aficionado or an inquisitive foodie looking to try new flavors, Mr. & Mrs. Idly has something for everyone. Their dedication to using fresh ingredients and genuine recipes guarantees that each bite takes you on a pleasant tour through India’s southern states.

Supporting small businesses, such as Mr. & Mrs. Idly, helps to preserve culinary traditions but also positively impacts our community. So, the next time you’re craving authentic South Indian cuisine, stop by Mr. & Mrs. Idly for a great dining experience at a reasonable price. Your taste senses and the local economy will thank you!

Apart from South Indian dishes, they have also started serving a few vegetarian Chinese dishes and sandwiches. All are good in taste.

Here is my review of the place.

Well, I also made some on-the-spot contributions on Google Maps, which has become a habit for me. :grinning:

Cheers!

All photos and collages are superb and the food looks yummy :yum:

The shop shows that Idli culture in Pune is definitely on the rise.

Previously we only hand-carts around KEM hospital that were famous and also some local shops in Ghorpadi with a large S. Indian settlement that sold authentic Idli.

Now on Baner Road itself, we have 7-8 branded shops like Mr. Idli, Anna, Dossai, Wadeshwar, NadBramha, DownSouth, and so on…

Although, I must note that in Bengaluru, there are amazing idlis everywhere on road side hand carts. I enjoyed them a lot besides the large lavish Udupi restaurants.

What is your opinion and experience with this @TravellerG?

Bengaluru is the best for the south delicacies espacially, veg one.

There are many tiffin (that’s what they refer to I think) centers there. I will try again in my visit there next month.

Cheers!
