This Week is much more wonderful as Two Accessibility days come under this Week - International Wheelchair Day (March 1st) and World Hearing Day (March 3rd). Let’s start into what This day is about and how we can raise awareness along with Women’s Week.
What is World Hearing Day?
This day is an annual event for raising Awareness to prevent deafness and hearing loss & Promote ear and hearing care.
Theme for 2025 - Changing Mindsets: Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all.
How can we prevent hearing loss and deafness?
- Regular ear health check up.
- Reduce loud noise from concerts, construction sites and loud machinery.
- Use of hearing protection near loud noise.
- Control Personal Audio by reducing volume of our earphones and headphones.
- Remember a noise level above 85 decibels is harmful for ears.
How can we celebrate this day with Women’s Week?
- Women Local Guides in Audiology
- come forward and introduce New Local Guides or yourself if you have experience in Audiology or related fields.
- Create a Google Maps List
for Audiology clinics in your area and share with your friends and families.
- Show our community any unique buisnesses that promotes Auditory Accessibility in your area or region.
