Can we get a dedicated mobile app for Local Guides Connect please?

I think this is one of the most requested idea regarding Connect, but I'm going to repeat it since we now have a (more) official space to document ideas and feedback.

The mobile experience using browser is not very pleasant, as it's pretty much difficult to do... well.. everything. Creating a post from mobile is out of the question, as most of the time I'm fumbling over different buttons before I gave up and decided to write it once I'm in front of my computer.

There are several specific reason for not having an app, @DushyantGurjar65 , but the most important is to give to the local guides, through the post editor, to create meaningful posts, with images in an appropriate place that you can choose.

Connect is also fully accessible on mobile too, so definitely I do not want an app to flatter our contents like in most of the Social media.

Or do you mean that an app will help you to improve your contributions in Google Maps, that are actually plenty of violations of the program?

Did you know @DushyantGurjar65 that Connect is a Progressive Web App. Just add it to your home screen when prompted by your modern browser and hey presto you've got an App.

Oh, there is also Maps. That is the other Local Guides App. Its only a little one though :).

Google pays Apple tons of money to remain Safari’s only browser on IOS so wouldn’t it make since to create an application for Local Guides on Iphone. For now I just have the local guides connect domain saved to my home screen however it doesn’t update sometimes if I do not cache. I think it makes sense to have an App for users that convert between Apple and Google daily for the connect platform. It would make load speeds faster, give more updated versions of Local Guides platform and make it easier for users on Iphones if their Android isn't readily available.

why doesn’t local guides connect have an app or an option via the google maps to integrate into it?

I feel like if we had an app, I would be able to contribute so much more vs only having a website.

A warm and friendly welcome to local guides connect forum. According to a quick look on your profile,it's your first post here and you are fairly new. You may not be aware of this,but it's advisable to search on the forum before writing and publishing a post.

As a local guide on frequent user of connect,I have seen this idea suggested a good number of times. It has also been asked as question as well on the "How tos" section. Anyway A post thread exactly as yours . It has been been commented on 496 times ! Please kindly have a look at the solution there,it might answer your question.
