Wonder of Waterfalls: Tiger Fall

Hello Friends,

Welcome to my brand-new series on Wonder of Waterfalls. In this series I will take you through couple of waterfalls from our country India as well as from outside India. The coverage is confined to the places I have visited on my own.

This is a series and not the Challenge but I encourage you all to share your experiences and interesting stories of waterfalls in the comment box below.

In the third post of this series, I will take you through another famous tourist attractions Tiger Fall, Kanaser Range, Chakrata, Uttarakhand, India. Chakrata is less explored and hence relatively less crowd is seen here but gradually this is becoming a popular short weekend holiday spot in Uttarakhand, India for the tourists.

Tiger Fall is said to be the second largest direct fall in Asia and first in India. On the way to Chakrata, sound of water can be heard in 5 to 10 kilometres of radius and it appears as the sound of roaring of a Tiger and hence the name Tiger Fall.

There is another saying that since the nearby forest Tigers came to drink water from here, it is named as Tiger Fall.

The lush green beauty of nature and high mountains are all around this waterfall. The cascading of waterfall into a pond of crystal-clear water attracts tourist to go inside, take the bathe and enjoy the waterfall inside the natural pool. It is a great getaway place to beat the heat in Summer.

The Tiger Fall is a good place for photography and videography with the waterfall as a picturesque background.

If you are in Dehradun, Uttarakhand or nearby place, this is a must to visit waterfall.

Keep building a well-informed community stronger :flexed_biceps: together.

Stay Happy, Stay Healthy!

JAI HO!!!

Very beautiful pics @Kumaarsantosh I have been to this waterfall way back in 1997 and last year it has been such a serene atmosphere during the sunrise.
