Welcome to my brand-new series on Wonder of Waterfalls. In this series I will take you through couple of waterfalls from our country India as well as from outside India. The coverage is confined to the places I have visited on my own.
This is a series and not the Challenge but I encourage you all to share your experiences and interesting stories of waterfalls in the comment box below.
In the second post of this series, I will take you through another famous tourist attractions Dhuandhar Waterfall[1], Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. This waterfall is also known by the name Smokhindra Waterfall. It is situated at the village Bhedaghat, Madhya Pradesh, India. The waterfall location is well connected by road from the Jabalpur main city.
This waterfall originates from the holy river Narmada. Waterfall formed by cascading it through the ancient rocks on the way. The fall is very beautiful and scenic. The sound of falling water is heard from far away due to falling along with the big stream and it creates fog/smoke all around.
There is a large open area around the waterfall which is very good for picnic and celebrations. This is a perfect place for photography.
Thankfully, this one was saved. There was another photo we clicked where there is a shivlinga right in the middle of the river flow, if I remember correctly.
Thank you for taking me back down memory lane. @Kumaarsantosh .
Good old days @AjitThite. It is always good to go into our memory lane and cherish the past as much as we cherish our present. This is one of the reasons while living the moments, I also keep capturing them to visualize and appreciate the time we lived in this world at a later time.
I think you are refering to this one but I don’t think this was in the middle of the river flow.
Dhuandhar Waterfall looks magnificent… great dear @Kumaarsantosh
Your photos have captured the liveness of the falls.
Of course, the narration is interesting…
I shall later try to add some photos…
