The Prachina Museum is located inside the Junagarh Fort of Bikaner and showcases all the royal family’s belongings.
It has preserved the various outfits of the royals in framed cases.
Also on display are their furniture, utensils, and crockery.
This place is a historical marvel and the beauty of the architecture left me mesmerized.
The place tells the story of the kings of Bikaner and their kingdom.
This was previously a palace turned into a museum showcasing the life of kings who ruled here.
The artwork on the walls and roof was magnificent.
Every piece of Bikaner’s history is preserved in the Prachina Museum.
The museum showcases the rich cultural heritage of Bikaner, the customs, dresses, meeting halls, paintings, and portraits.
Highlights:
The ticket price for Prachina Museum is included in the ticket for the fort.
There is a restaurant outside the Prachina Museum for refreshments.
A guide will cost INR 500 extra for the whole museum + the fort tour.
You may need 45 min to explore the entire museum.
Ample car parking space is available.
