Here is my short story:-
I started as a Map Maker as well as Local Guide on February 16, 2016. That day I joined the program as a volunteer which name was Dhaka MapUp. This program was hosted by GEG Dhaka North.
My 1st Certificate as a Map Maker
Rafi Arman brother invited me to join the event and requested me to be a volunteer on that day. From that day I started my contribution on Google Maps and Map Maker (Google Map Maker officially closed on March 31, 2017). When I reached Level 4, I got 1TB Drive Storage for two years which was absolutely free.
One important things is, it is a voluntary work (The benefit is not the main objective for us) and better way to explore any city as well as country. Day by day Google Maps becomes one of my family member. Everyday I use Google Maps and try to update information, use new feature, add photos and get more benefits from Google Maps in various way.
As a Local Guide I love to explore new places
After joining many communities I got many lovely friends around the world. I feel very happy when I thought that I have many friends who are from different country and often I communicate with them. They are very much helpful. In my country, @PavelSarwar @ShafiulB @SumaiyaZafrin and many others fellow of Local Guides everyday help me and inspire me.

On my part What I earned as a LG is not quantifiable.
I never get any gift or discount, What I get is FRIENDSHIP and BROTHERHOOD from two legends @SanyaOdare and @HelloSamsonR
When I join the local guide program in February 2017 I don't know any body even when i attended my first meet up organised by Lagos Google office I did not know any body.
I later join Connect in April 2017. that was the time I know that yes I'm now a local guide. it was Samson Rohan that welcome me first and I feel connected to him always. the funny part is we know each other on connect but we did not meet until December 26, 2017.
He is a LEGEND always ready to assist. And It is on connect that i come across a meet up organised by @SanyaOdare and i attended which that is the day i found my missing family... the bond and connection I always feel when i'm with LG is unique and different.
This guys are my inspiration my brothers from another mother.
Local Guide programme make me found friends and family from all corners of the globe . Friends like @Justine2807 Australia, @AlejandraMaria Spain, @Osaka78forTRUMP Australia , @OSAMA Jordan, @SalmaanN India, @ValeriaA_ Argentina and many others.
