My name is Maria and I’m from Munich, Germany. I’m a graduate psychology student.👩🏼‍🎓

For a very long time I wasn’t aware of the Local Guides program, though I was relying a lot on the ratings and recommendations of others whenever I looked something up. I discovered the Local Guides Program during my stay in NYC 🗽 by coincidence. I clicked somewhere on my phone and suddenly I was registered. Over the time I have learned a lot of things about Maps and Connect and I can proudly say that I’m a Level 9 Local Guide now. It’s my hobby!!

Apart from being a LG and studying I love traveling, running and reading. My speciality is running long distance and I have participated in a lot of races and also won some 🙂

I love travelling! My favourite spots so far are NYC, Tokyo and Budapest :)) 

My dream is to travel the world 🏝🏜🌋, get as many impressions as possible, meet inspiring people and redefine myself to become a better version of myself.

I think this is why the Connect Live event would be the perfect fit for me: it combines all of my interests! 😍

Being a Local Guide has given me so much! During a hard time of my life when everything I wanted was to just sleep and to be alone it motivated me to go outside, visit museums, explore different cuisines, join meet ups and force me to be social! Because that's what's important! I’m very thankful for that! I really like the idea of a big friendly community where people contribute, improve, support and help each other.
I can hardly put into words how much I love Google, Maps, Connect and the idea behind it! I hope to share this passion at the Connect Live event ☺️

Here on Connect I’ve met so many nice and inspiring people from all over the world, I would love to meet them in person.

I really hope to attend Connect Live!! Wish me luck 🤗
