Hello!
Does anyone know why the Google Maps App is different on the iPhone? What are the main differences between the app on iOS and Android?
Will the app on iOS ever catch up to the one on Android?
Sometimes it does feel the contributors on Android have more exciting functions and a nicer user face.

Hello @FeraciniR
Another few differences - on iOS we aren’t able to add a missing road (draw a new road) in the same way as android users.
I have also noted that android users can report temporary road closures (e.g. a crash blocking the highway), whereas this option isn’t present currently on the iOS version - iOS only allows suggestions for permanent road closures.

Hi @FeraciniR , you can refer to the Google maps official help page. In there you will find a detailed explanation of all the functions for Android, Desktop and IOS. Of course, as Google Maps is developed on Android, some feature on IOS can be improved on a later stage, or be a bit different.
Refer to this link for the latest improvement, that are rolling out on these days: Get started with the updated Google Maps app
In addition, from this page you can also check and download an updated version of the APP for IOS, if needed
