How to convert Mp4 to KML/KMZ file??

Does anyone know how to convert Mp4 files to KML/KMZ files?

Connect and Google Earth only accept KML/KMZ files.

I have installed a couple of app converters to no avail.

@VBenedict As far as I know, it is not possible. MP4 is a format of video, whereas KML/KMZ is a container for storing geotagged locations, thus they are incompatible with one another.

What are you trying to achieve?

You are talking about two different types of subject: videos Vs map data. What do you need to do?

When I attempt to load a file or a video onto Google World it requires  KML/KMZ file

The same goes here on Connect when attempting to load a video.

I was under the impression that we would be able to submit to Google Earth much in the same technical manner as we do on Google Maps.

I understand now that kmz is the zipped version of kml. 

If kml is a container then how does one import/save files to this container.

Hmmn?  It sounds like the process is some form of encapsulation 🤔

@Haseeb  thank you for offering.  I need to confirm whether in fact LGs will be able to have direct input to Google Earth.

I understand we can save kml files to "My Places" but here is where I get stock 🤺

@MWJones how does one "import" or "encapsulate" with this file extension?
