When a user submits feedback via the feedback tool, those reports are sent into a "black hole" that we as the reporting party rarely get an acknowledgement, let alone notification of a resolution. With the current limitations in form based reporting being limited to business listings and roads, there are other features that we have to report using the generic feedback tool. These reports, such as interior mapping takedowns, and other features may never be followed up, and thus errors remain on the map.
As I mentioned above, the only way to get interior mapping removed is to submit a feedback request. Unfortunately, even that doesn't appear to be getting results (I've got 6 businesses that have closed, and some of the buildings have new tenants, yet despite repeated requests to remove the interior mapping, they remain).
Places like this Movie Theater (which was once a "Big Box" Electronics store) still show the Electronics Store floorplan, despite the store being gone for over 5 years, and the Theater being there for 3 years. I've submitted multiple requests for the interior mapping to be removed, yet it still remains.
Another example is a waterway. I submitted a feedback report (over a year ago) explaining this waterway was missing, and even provided a link to the KML file that I hand-drew in Google Earth. To date the waterway has still not been drawn, and I have no idea when it will.

Same area in Google Maps showing the creek my segment branches from, but missing my segments.
My idea is that these reports and their respective queue needs to be visible to those that submit the reports. Likewise, notification that the submission was received and ultimately resolved should also be a part of it - much like when all other edits are suggested.
