Do you struggle to find an apartment at Night? 😪
It is quite easy to find restaurants and stores at night.
How? Because they draw attention with the help of large flex banners, LEDs, and excellent lighting. Whereas apartments, small businesses like departmental stores, or even sacred places don't display giant LED banners, correct?
It can be challenging to locate these places using the photos on Google Maps. I would suggest Time based Photos theme for Places. It will operate in accordance with the country's local time. Maps will display or highlight photos that were clicked at night time. Google Maps can accomplish this by asking local guides about captured time while uploading photos or by leveraging AI-based photo identification. Google Maps can rely on image metadata too, like timestamps. In addition, there can be an option to toggle the day/night theme.
In my opinion, this feature would improve accessibility. One of the factors that make Google Maps a leader in its domain is accessibility.
