Happy New Year 2026 to all TRACians, Local Guides and Googlers in general. We look forward to a very interesting and active year together on the Local Guides scene. There is so much on the cards this year as we all know. I hope we are all ready and looking forward to it all. The first and the greatest thing to all local guides is Connect live invitations coming up soon. Please make sure Raise your hand for ConnectLIVE 2026! and fill the form as stipulated as the deadline is fast approaching. One of the ways we can get ready for ConnectLIVE 2026! is by getting active here on connect and even on Google maps. Our quality contributions and activities here on connect goes a long way. This post is not only a happy new year 2026 greetings, it also is an announcement that TRAC 2026 is coming up. TORM 2026 will also be live on air come October 2026 all things being equal.
TRAC certainly will be of a great help and good motivations for all local guides. TRAC not only helps us to interact actively here on connect, but it will also helping us to contribute quality to Goggle maps. This isn’t only for connect live purposes anyway, but it might help. TRAC has been on for 4 years now !!! We plan to continue as usual. The decision to continue TRAC 2026 was by a unanimous agreement In TRAC 2026 Planning Session Meet-up.
Therefore
- TRAC 2026 will kick off on the appointed date this year 2026 March 1st-May 31st!!!
- There will be series of meet-up in February before the event starts and as required all through the TRAC months.
- There will continue to be informal interactions on our telegram group off connect.
- We are yet to decide what approach we will take. That’s open to deliberations and ideas from TRACians of course.
- We will plan to send out a general E-mail from our official TRAC E-mail address to all participants. Please kindly look out for it and respond.
- Please look out for posts here on connect to all these ends.
As we all know, TORM is a sequel of TRAC therefore it follows about the same rules.
- It is our 2nd year to have this event.
- It was so much fun last year, and it could even be more fun this year.
- Normally this is open only to those who have access to laptops and desktop, now we have A new system which makes it open to mobile phones as well !!!
- If you don’t have access yet, please feel free to Fill this form As usual access depends on the team on Road mapper, but we have a link to reach them. Hopefully they will grant some more local guides access. just like they did last year.
