Tips to Explore the Rampuria Haveli to the Fullest

The Rampuria Haveli mansion is an iconic place in Bikaner.

I visited here last year and got some tips on exploring this place to the fullest.

The best time to visit the Haveli is during twilight hours, or if you are lucky, on a cloudy day. The nearby buildings cast a dark shadow on this structure, which may result in photos that do not look their best.

The designs on the walls of the havelis have a confluence of jharokas, chhajjas, and jalis, creating an exotic view.

I recommend taking a tour guide so that we can learn in detail about these art forms :plus: there are many interesting stories behind these royal structures that they can tell us.

The Rampuria haveli was adorned with the best decorations that cannot be ignored.

I recommend taking a personal auto from the Bikaner Fort or the bus stand.

My auto driver was patiently waiting for some time while I took time to explore the Haveli from all its sides.

Here is the back view - gorgeous…! :open_mouth:

The Haveli had a seamless blend of Rajasthani and classical art styles, topped with wooden carving that gave the facades a picturesque look.

:bullettrain_front: How to Reach

I drove to Bikaner in a car.

But this city is well connected to all major towns via railway and flights.

:shallow_pan_of_food: Where to Eat

I had Indian Assorted Thali at Jeeman Restaurant.

:house_with_garden: Where to Stay

I stayed at the Hotel Bhairon Vilas - great value for money.

That’s an amazing & beautiful architecture @TusharSuradkar . Redness with architecture and view is stunning to look at.

Is the building accessible to public?

Thank you for sharing with us!

Very good question @Rahul001
No, it is closed to the public and we can only admire and appreciate its beauty from the outside

Yes, very much Bikaner Style @Ssiddharth2000, which is also called the Red City of India, due to the liberal use of red stone in the structures in Bikaner.

Looking forward to travel to Delhi soon @curatorofmemory :hugs: :face_savoring_food:

Except for the wooden doors that are more modern, the entire building has fine carvings made in Red Stone that give it a stunning look.

@PrasadVR ji @SayliWalve - Thanks for the appreciation :+1:
