Supporting Small Businesses: Tea Shop

Hello Friends,

I am back again with an intent to re-emphasize the way we Support Small Businesses as a Local Guide. It is our social and moral responsibility to support small businesses by all means and it becomes more useful when we do so through the use of Google Maps.

In my first post in this series of Supporting Small Businesses I have explained as what sort of small businesses we can support and how to support them. Later,

Chaat Golgappe stall, Paan shop, Momo shop/stall, Shoe repair shop and very recently Concept of Lakhpati SHG Didi under cottage and micro small business

have been considered to support.

What

and How

During my recent visit to the City of Lakes, Udaipur, Rajasthan, Bharat, I visited Udaipur City Palace[1] and got attracted to a shop named Chuchu Ki Chai which is just at the entrance of Udaipur City Palace. The name itself is so catchy, visitors automatically get attracted and tea lovers like me could not resist to visit and explore the shop. It was an amazing experience talking to the owner. He is well versed with the digital developments in payment gateways and using all of them for his shop. He fluently speaks in Hindi and English. I was quite impressed and after I finished my chit chat with him, I ordered some snacks and my favourite Kulhad Chai[2]. They have a wide range of offerings from Pizza to Pasta, Shakes to Soft Drinks, Sandwiches to Burgers, Poha, Dhokla to Maggie and my all-time favourite Kulhad Chai.

They have kept some temporary arrangement for seating but quite comfortable for having tea and snacks.

On the spot, I edited their shop name as per the guidelines and also updated Accessibility, Service options, Offerings, LGBTQ+ friendly, Payments and parking using the Edit features on Google Maps. Later, I posted my review based on the experience I had there.

I happily share this post also for Chai Pe Charcha initiated by @TusharSuradkar.

Keep building a well-informed community stronger :muscle: together.

Stay Happy, Stay Healthy!

JAI HO!!!

The tea shop’s name is unique and interesting enough to catch attention and have a sip. So it serves its purpose - intelligent marketing by the owner

I’ve been to Udaipur as well, and looking forward to seeing it through your lens and reading through your experiences @Kumaarsantosh

Although mobile repair shops are common, watch repair is becoming increasingly rare, though not difficult to find.

Thank you for sharing Chai with our community @Kumaarsantosh . Your supporting small businesses is inspiring local guides and how you helps also.

Is that terracotta? Sustainability, isn’t it? Rather than using plastic cup, terracota is used which also helps local businesses too.

Thank you dear @KetanChhaniyara. And, I did not use plastic spoon to grab Veg Maggie here with Kulhad Chai.

They had wood spoons.:spoon: :recycle:

Surely, will do as this aspect of Sustainability I had mentioned in my review. Though I did not capture many photos pertaining to this due to heavy crowd at the seating place.
