REFRESHING MAPS

Hello Google Local Guide Family

Today I am posting Recap of Spam Free India in totality.

First of all I would like to inform you that how I thought about this idea?

We have one whats app group of Gujarat Local Guide, one fine day, I was looking searching map of Rajkot and I found house boat in Aji dam location. I took a screen shot and posted in group after that Tejal ma’am has also posted screen shot of statue of unity in valsad location and than everyone started posting about spam photos.

I discuss with Nareshbhai, Priyanka, Shruti and I decided to host an meet-up of spam free map.

Here I would like to share my Team experience :

  1. [Recap] Spam Free Maps : Gujarat @NareshDarji

He visited to Udaipur, Rajasthan before event as he was unaware about places and as a GLG his first preference is map, he started
using and found too much fake photos on map.He found maximum selfie pictures.

  1. [Recap] Spam Free Maps : Valsad @Tejal

She has hosted Meet-up on Tithal beach festival while posting pics of sunset she found airport on beach and mountain photos on tithal beach and so on.

  1. [Recap] Spam Free Maps : Bengaluru @SalmaanN

In bangalore he hosted meet-up and give brief introduction about Google map and it’s benefit.

  1. [Recap] Spam Free Maps : Vapi @PriyankaU

She also supported by hosting an event in her recap she has also given some solution as per her knowledge.

  1. [Recap] Spam Free Maps : Mumbai @MIHIRG & @Shrut19

Mihir & shruti always actively working with maps team during the event that also found fake photos and business profile and started reporting.

6) [Recap] Spam Free Maps : Valsad, Gujarat @RoshanPatel

Last but not the least Roshan did his first spam free event in valsad & reported more than 150 spam photos.

With all this experience my team came to conclusion that in our community they are happy with new technology but lack of knowledge in using the technology. They are happy to see their photos on Google location, but for others are not getting information about that location. We have prepared one
excel file of spam id profile.

Which I have already submitted to Google team and waiting for some positive action which is good for Maps team.
I would not like to give any suggestion because all moderator and entire map team is well versed with the subject .
