We arrived at the venue at 11am and soon everyone joined us. After purchasing the tickets we explored the museum, which beautifully showcases the achievements of the southern command wing.
From ammunition and uniforms to photo gallaries, military tanks, the MIG23BN used in kargil war and the vijayanta mbt the displays were inspiring and educational.
We then enjoyed a fun paintball activity and had an online google meet session with other local guides.
The museum’s souvenir shop was a treat, where we picked fridge magnets, badges and souvenirs.
We wrapped up the museum tour with a quiz session in the garden nearby. Took group pictures near clock tower with banners and exchanged the badges and stickers.
The day was made even more special when @TusharSuradkar sir presented me with thoughtful appreciation card. And @NERKARAMIT sir gave me a lovely gift for hosting my first meetup.
The meetup of India local guides in Pune on 24 November 2024 was another fun-filled day with joy, laughter, games, quizzes, food, drink, sharing Google Maps tips & tricks, and more and more discussions about how awesome or awful some of the new Connect features are.
After that people got busy with various things. @dpalash2205 did the Youtube LIVE of the event, @AjitThite spent most of the time interacting with people joining online via Google Meet, and @NERKARAMIT and others tried hands at paintball.
We visited the various galleries of the War Memorial Museum in Pune that exhibited primarily decommissioned tanks, ammunition, aircraft, and various such battle-related exhibits.
Please inform when you are visiting Pune the next time.
Pune local guides meet every fortnight, and can plan a meetup to coincide with your visit, so you can particiapate and be part of the fun and enjoyment too

Tagging @Latika_Malhotra Ji to let you know the local guides community in India is thriving and flourishing with your best wishes and continuous support
Hello dear friend, Mohan…
You have not used the “Reply” option which automatically TAGS the LG.
But if you are trying from the main post, then you should used the “@” before the username to tag.
Hello dear LG Rushikesh…
Congratulations for the successful completion of the meet-up hosted by our LG @DurgaK03 and for your active participation ….
You have done a great job of conceiving and precending this beautiful RECAP.
Best wishes
Great concept @TusharSuradkar, dada I have one more suggestion: if you create your name on the card using a digital signature at the CM level and distribute it to every host of a meetup across India, it will be the greatest achievement of the local guide community.
Thank you for the appreciation and the suggestion @shaileno@TravellerG
We all can include these new ideas and concepts in the upcoming meetups like the one in Pune. Pune LG One Year of Meetups.
BTW I feel proud of introducing many new ideas and implementing in our meetups and also some of these made popular with everyone:
Cards and sticker sharing by all pariticpants.
Sending cards and stickers by post for everyone to enjoy.
