Celebrate International Tea Day with me & Chai Pe Charcha 🫖

Hy Local Guides, :hot_beverage:

Today is celebrated as International Tea Day, worldwide (May 21st). From Chai Kadai to Tea houses, Kerala has a special blend of Tea and its shops. All thanks to @TusharSuradkar and his Challenge : Chai Pe Charcha, we local guides have been exploring Tea shops which would in turn support small local tea businesses.

Capital Chai, a famous tea spot in Trivandrum known for its varieties of flavours mixed with Tea. They have atleast 20 or more varieties of Chai flavour.

Here’s my Review for them.

From my view, Chai Pe Charcha has been a wonderful ongoing challenge with more than 50 episodes from local guides. Chai Pe Charcha challenge makes me explore and discover Tea shops & contribute valuable information like reviews, photos, Accessibility information, videos etc..

Share local Tea shops you visited recently on this day to celebrate International Tea Day and to participate in Chai Pe Charcha.

Just when I thought I had seen and read everything about Chai, here comes the top post of all - a Chai experience like never before @Rahul001

This is simply amazing, and the flavors are out of this world :+1:

The number of entries including this post is 67, and with that, you have equalled @K.K.Sharma ji’s tally of 11 :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Thank you @TusharSuradkar for your valuable comment and words. Your Chai Pe Charcha challenge personally gets me to contribute more valuable informations. Either I look for Clock Tower or Chai shops when I travel to unique places.

Thank you @TravellerG for your valuable comment.

Whiskey flavoured chai just had that flavour and price is ₹20 with regular chai having ₹10. I think it’s good to chai flavoured chai once in a while.

What’s a tandoori tea @TravellerG ?
Where can I try this?

They have the typical Tandoor and the mud vessel is heated in the Tandoor till it is very hot…
The typical milk tea is prepared in another vessel…
The super heated mud vessel is taken out of the Tandoor and the tea is poured into the hot mud vessel…the tea gets cooked in the mud vessel and then poured into Kulhad - it takes munites to cool down to drinkable hotness…
It is super tasty… Can’t explain it in words…
I could taste it twice in a shop in Yercaud, Tamil Nadu…
Tried for it in many places…I couldn’t get it even in Bangalore

Hope this gives some idea…

Tandoori tea is a great experience for a Tea Lover.
I first had it in Gurugram - not sure about Delhi.
Also available in Pune.
