This month is special to celebrate the incredible guidance of assistance dogs & their accessibility help they give us. September is celebrated as Guide Dog Month!
Guide dogs are a type of assistance dogs where they help persons with blindness or low vision to navigate or in their daily activities.
From Assistance Dog day to International Dog day 
, we local guides have been contributing to Google Maps on such celebrating days to promote Accessibility 
& Inclusivity. Like the Challenge: Review a dog-friendly place on Google Maps, pet friendly feature directly helps in visual accessibility also. As a Local Guide, our contributions help in accessibility & Inclusivity and it makes places more accessible, especially to those who rely on our four legged friends

How can we contribute to Google Maps with Visual Accessibility?
When taking a photo 
, writing a review 
or editing attributes of a local business, keep these on mind :
- Dog allowing inside
- Do the shops allow dogs inside? Not just outside, Guide Dogs should be at their partner’s side. - Entrance & interior
- Is the entrance & interior of the shop wide enough to enter & dog friendly? - Tactile or smooth pavings - Are there any tactile pavings found? Does the entrance to the shop have smooth pavings?
- Outdoor Spaces
- Does the park or public areas allow dogs & easily navigable with assistance dogs?
