We’re thrilled to announce Connect Live will be hitting the road again this year to bring a series of local pop-up events in places throughout the world. Your city could be next!
These local Connect Live experiences will be one-day events that bring together some of the top Local Guides in the area to hear from Googlers, share feedback about our products and programs, and connect with one another. Each event celebrates what makes the city and its Local Guides unique with special programming, activities, food and drink, and more.
Many of you may be working on your applications to attend this year’s global Connect Live 2019 event in San Jose, California. An invitation to a Connect Live pop-up event does not affect your eligibility to attend the flagship event. Instead, these pop-up experiences are another opportunity to show your Local Guides pride and connect with others in your area.
Connect Live Lagos will take place in early May. Local Guides were not required to apply to attend this event. Invites for this event were emailed to top Local Guides in the area based on a variety of criteria including level, engagement with the Local Guides program, and recent activity on Google Maps. To receive event invitations from Local Guides, you must be opted-in to get perk emails from us. You can change your email settings any time.

I was really happy when I saw that Lagos Local Guides were getting invites to their Connect Live, it’s great that these pop ups will keep being organized in 2019, the 2018 ones looked really great.
