As published already, the beach cleanup program has been executed successfully with the participation of many young enthusiasts from Batticaloa. Have a look at the reflections of the event to get an idea about how it went.

Kallady Beach clean!

It has of course been a shining example for other youth and also this event has raised awareness among the public on sustainable waste disposal. Even though there are several waste collecting bins installed in the beach, it is so pathetic to see non-decaying wastes scattered along the beach. However, this clean act of these young members of the community has become a pioneer example. Thanks, @KishothN for initiating such a fruitful initiative!
