Mail explaining the reasons for the expulsion Google Local Guides.

Good to all Google Local Guides.

I think it would be a good improvement for the Google Local Guides community,
that when they expel you from the Google Local Guides community or program they give you the reasons for such expulsion.

Currently they only send you an email informing you that you have been expelled from the Google Local Guides program,
but they do not give you the reasons or the infringements that you have committed to expel you from said program. I look forward to the response from the Google Local Guides community. Sincerely.

Hi @Miguelfqmg,

The naughty answer:  Study the rules and comply by changing what you have done wrong. Here is a useful article on reasons for being removed.

The more helpful answer: Take a look here : https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/Idea-Exchange/Banned-Account-Appeal-Form/idi-p/1371553

But you are certainly right, that it would be so much more helpful if the AI was set up to point out what needs to be changed.  So you got my vote for that reason.

Cheers

If people received "yellow cards" before getting a "red card" and are removed from the field, it would be clear why you are getting a red card, if you already had warnings that were clear what needs changing.

Hello all, hope at the time of writing this we are all coping with the mess caused by the COVID19 pandemic to our dear families, what I have to share with you however is related to our Local Guides Account being suspended.

Last week ( a week back before writing this message) i found out that my account was suspended and I did not find any detailed reason as to why it was suspended, and this got me thinking like why dont we have an email sent to our inboxes with details as to why the Account is suspended so that this can help us know what exactly went wrong, or the behavior that led to the Account being blocked.

With Such an email, one can know what to correct incase the account is unblocked again.

Hi @wt_lambert,

Thank you for sharing your idea.

Please note that a similar one has been already suggested here - Mail explaining the reasons for the expulsion Google Local Guides.. For that reason, I will merge yours to it together with the votes your idea has accumulated so far.

I just recommend you before you submit an idea to search the community. It’s possible that someone else has already submitted the same one, so you can show your support by voting for that idea.

A friend of mine who is a an amazing fasion photographer & a food blogger he has been posing and sharing pics and one fine day his level was removed and when he appealed he was told we won't share the reason why he was removed. Ideally Google should be transparent.and point out. Before removing the level he/she should be warned.

So, that the person should not do this mistake. In future we can  learn from their experience.

Apologies if I have hurt someone

@BongFoodKonnection I believe what you meant was that your friend was removed/suspended from the Local Guides program, and the level and points no longer shown on the contribution page. From what I know and seen in the past, usually Google should have sent out an email detailing some of the reasons why someone is suspended. Do ask your friend to check if that email was sent.

Also for contributors whose account have been suspended from the Local Guides program, ask them refer to this post on potential reasons and what can one do for appealing the suspension through the online appeal form in the page linked below.
Why was I removed from the Local Guides program?
