There is a catch...
I really appreciate the intentions of local guides who are new to the platform. There is an identified issue with people who have just started with their local guide journey but don't want to contribute to maps with good intentions. It hurts to see people copying pictures clicked by someone and getting recommended more than the original. I have experienced this issue with photos having larger views.

Now, there are ways to report such media. Still, do local guides have time to see all media and report on such cases?

We can see the bulk of photos and videos being added every day at some famous destinations. There should be a dedicated service(software) that is looking for such media duplicates. Either delete them instantly or ask local guides through suggestions if maps still want to compare medias on the basis of human decision.
I have suggestions for building some comparison models, being a software engineer by profession.
One of them is Siamese Neural Networks, which are a type of neural network used to compare two instances and infer if they belong to the same object.
