How do I write a post on Connect?

Connect is a place for Local Guides to share their discoveries, ask questions, engage with other members of the community, give feedback, and more.

If you’ve got a story to tell, photos to share, or a question to ask, you can create a post on Connect by clicking Start a post. You’ll find this function at the bottom of your homepage and at the top of each topic page.

• First, choose a main topic for your post such as Photography, Travel, or Food & Drink. Think about which topic best describes what your post is about. If it falls under multiple topics, you can add them in under Additional topics at the bottom of the page.

• Use a descriptive title for your post. Make it easy for other Local Guides to understand what your post is about.
• Upload a photo. The first photo you add to your post will appear as the main image across the site. So, make sure it’s relevant to your title. For tips on uploading great photos, check out this post on the best photo practices for Connect.  
• Write your post. You can post in any language on Connect. The Google Translate widget is available on every page so that others can easily translate content into their language. You can select the language you used in the post by clicking Add language at the bottom of the editor.
• Use the Location field on posts that discuss a specific place. For example, if you’re looking for travel advice for a trip to San Francisco, tag “San Francisco.” Or, if you're telling us about a favorite restaurant in your area, write its name in the Location field and select the correct option from the ones that appear.Caption: A screenshot that shows where to select a location, tags, and a language in the Connect editor.

• You can preview your post by clicking Preview. Need to come back to it later? Your post will automatically save and you can find it again by visiting the Draft tab on your profile. 
  
• When you’re happy with your post, click Publish.

A hely nagyon ígéretes, ugyanakkor az vendégélmény javításában még nagy lehetőségek vannak. 15 emberre foglaltunk és amíg nem érkeztek meg mindnyájan, az üzletvezető és a felszolgálók többször is kérdőre vont minket e felől, mondván, hogy telt ház van, és beérkező vendégeket kell lassan visszautasítania. 😞 Azért a két csillag, mert ilyen árak mellett magasabb vendégélményt vártam volna.

Azért a női mosdót széthányni, a táskában becsempészett idegen piától beállni jól esett? Sajnos mi is magasabb vendégélményt várunk.

It is in Hungarian, but the reply includes a calumny, as we never committed that (owner accused us with smuggling alcoholic beverages in the pub, getting vinous and having destroyed the women's restroom).

I would like to beleive that these comments serve us and make us grow and are not the means of revenge. 

I emailed the owner and asked him to withdraw the calumny, but I did not get any response.

I'm sorry to learn about your experience. Please reach out to the Google My Business community where the community managers and experts would be able to advise you accordingly. At the GMB community, I suggest clicking on Spam & Policy, then creating a post there. Please note not to include any of your or the business' personal information, but rather allow a community expert or Googler to contact you to obtain it.

In the meantime, I have removed the name and URL to the business on Google Maps, that contain personal information of the business owner as we value the privacy of everyone. Thank you.

@Jasper3  We have a right to share our customer experiences!  I had something similar happen where I live, with a dentist who performed poor work!  When customers share their experience, the dentist office will use their staff or hire college kids to make fake reviews, to make the office appear to do good work!  I lost a crown, less than a year after I had the crown & it broke!  I contacted the dentist, & asked them if they would fix the crown for free!  He said he would pay half!  At the time, I no longer had insurance because my husband lost his job!  He should fix the crown becaue it was cheap & broke!  He blamed me & wanted to upsell for me to buy a mouth guard & said it was my fault my crown broke!  The dentist passed me to another dentist in his office, after he found out I didn't have insurance, he would no longer treat me!  He started off as a small practice, & he seemed nice at first! Then the office grew, he moved to a larger office & got very arrogant & shitty!  Everything in their office was upselling more products, & cosmetic dentistry!  That office referred me for a root canal!  Two dentists in town said they would not treat me, because I have 4 canals in my teeth, which are typically seen in men & they woulud have to charge more, which sounds really stupid!  I've never heard of women only having 3 canals in their teeth, & men having 4 canals!  We have some sort of scam going on where I live, taking advantage of people!  

I ended up going to another dentist, & lost a second tooth because the crown broke!  The first dentist, would not fix my crown!  Their prices just keep inflating higher & higher!

I like to add especially Small Business around the places wherever I go. Because these small things also make great impact. I also take picture of places, shops, hotels or any other organizations that I see while Travel or around my community.

Travelling is my hobby I like to travel different places.From my small age I got chance to visit many spot in our country. Trip to family, relatives and hiking with close friend is one of my best feeling. I do remember when me and my buddies planned for khaptad National Park tour.It was one of my best memories walking through country side, climbing 8,9 hills and camping in the middle of national park .We catch our bus from Dhangadhi in early morning and reach Doti after travelling 10 hrs. Next morning we begun our journey it took us 36 hrs to reach Khaptad.

Local Microbreweries

I love exploring local microbreweries because it promotes local business and also because they know how to make a great product with only the very best of ingredients. I try to go for an hour walk to visit 3 or 4 in Windsor to keep in shape and in doing so promote locally owned businesses. I also have driven to a few that have food options that are in theme with the given season thus having a different menu option to choose from and they use locally sourced food for said food options which makes for great tasting food. So if you can visit your local microbrewery I am sure it won't disappoint you.

Hello my name is KRITTANA call me TAR. I am THAI people live in THAILAND country indo-china zone. I am 45 years old.

My favorite place was ICELAND country in the North of Europe. I am ever been there about 1 month. ICELAND was a beautiful place, there are interested language speaking, clean drinking water, cold weather in summer time, sunset at the midnight time also sunglass wearing, so much beep meat, so salmon fish, black sand beach, I went to fishing near seaport found some whale visiting in the port and we were got almost one hundred kilogram of fish.

My community, my Thailand country near the world quarter line so it has warm weather up to 35 degree centigrade. We have got sun light every day. We can take sunbath everywhere and all time. We also have golden horny skin. And my country has so much type of fruits and can eat fresh all season a whole year.

I proud to be a Local Guide because I want be share the interesting place, unseen place, amazing things, resolution wrong place in Map, share correct direction to visitor. I like every place in Thailand. I like to be share many kind of food to unknown visitor, they can easy understand by picture if some hard understand by local language.

This is Local Guide passion.

Being a local guide on google maps has opened me up to a world of opportunities. Naturally, I do love to take photos. Whenever I hang out with my friends, I am the first to pull out my camera and snap away whether it's my food or a particular action that's going on or the scenery, I am usually the first to capture it. On google maps, I particularly enjoy taking pictures of food, yes!  I love food. i move around my environment and explore the different restaurants in my area and of particular interest to me is the victoria island area, this area is very populated with a lot of eateries; some high ends and some quite affordable ones so you probably never catch me dining at the same place more than two times.I love to take pictures of the food when I get there and I loved to post these pictures because it helps other diners like me to make good choices. So whether is a burger, nachos or some local dish, I will be there with my camera snapping away.
