Yes, it is essential, but My feeling is that every road is essential. On my first post about this new feature I wanted to start the story talking about an hotel that Maps was suggesting to reach by climbing a mountain, for the simple reason that the road wasn't in Google maps: Roads for Everyone - Helping others with the New Road Editor . Now the customers can reach the Location using Google Maps. They don't need anymore to call the business asking for indications 🙂
Grazie @Gianluca , si, questa è un'attività che mi da molta soddisfazione, e sono molto fiero delle 841 strade approvate in pochi mesi. Questo editor permette un'ottima risoluzione, e anche di correggere la forma delle strade, se serve.
Il programma è in continua evoluzione, e ogni poche settimane la grafica cambia e nuove funzionalità vengono aggiunte / migliorate
It is easy to become addicted about Mapping, especially if Google provide you a good tool.
In addition it is beautiful to know that what you do is "directly" helping others: a postman will be able to find your door, a delivery service will drop a parcel in front of your house, and so on. They will probably smile, after years of no one being able to reach them, and they will probably say "oh, Google Maps has finally added my street to the maps". Well, that smile is certainly priceless
