Hi @ErmesT
Scientists accidentally create mutant enzyme that eats plastic bottles
The breakthrough, spurred by the discovery of plastic-eating bugs at a Japanese dump, could help solve the global plastic pollution crisis.
Scientists have created a mutant enzyme that breaks down plastic drinks bottles – by accident. The breakthrough could help solve the global plastic pollution crisis by enabling for the first time the full recycling of bottles. Read more. via The Guardian
This sounds interesting. Enjoy.

It is absolutely interesting @Badruddeen, and I really hope that it can solve, or help to solve this huge global issue.
Plastic is basically an organic product, produced as a derivate oh hidrocarburos, so with the molecular disgregación of plastic we theoretically can move back to basics molecula of carbonium.
But the main idea, in my mind, is to reduce the use of plastic, avoiding the products that are designed for a single use. Also, we don't know what this kind of enzymes will do with the rest of the plastic, the one that is used every day in the industry, for producing a huge range of useful products

I agree with you @ErmesT Reducing and eliminating plastic usage is the best solution.
There is no better solution than that. We all have to put an extra effort and make it happen.
Thank you for your great effort and this project.
Cheers

We continue with the project "Local Guides Clean the World" we have been able to extract from this seabed the railing of the walk and some iron to the bay of Colera, Spain. Then we have communicated it to the Colera Town Hall.
