Discover menu photos more easily on Maps

We recently announced the new Popular dishes feature that appears when you check out restaurants on Google Maps. There, you’ll see photos of a restaurant’s most talked about meals taken by Local Guides like you. These photos can help you decide what to order, but we also wanted to make it easier to see prices, ingredients, and other helpful menu information. 

You can now find menu photos in the OVERVIEW tab of a restaurant listing on Google Maps for Android. 

• Tap on a restaurant listing on Maps 
• In the OVERVIEW tab, you’ll see a View the menu section. There, you can see menu photos and easily upload your own

• Tap on a restaurant listing on Maps
• Tap on the PHOTOS tab within the listing
• Tap Menu. There you’ll see menu photos and tap Add a photo to upload your own
  

Of course, this also means it’ll be easier for others to see the menu photos you upload on Maps, so be sure to snap and share whenever you’re dining out! The best menu photos are clearly focused, easy to read, and well-lit. 

This feature is rolling out on Google Maps for Android over the next few weeks.

Yes it's there in the Menu Photos which I did not know all these time.

I always post MENU of small or big restaurants, now will click better and close up photos of Menu..

@AriMar In case a place has a menu data uploaded, it definitely should suggest dishes names from a list while tagging a photo!

So glad this was implemented - a MAJOR addition to Maps that should not be overlooked. Visuals always help, and in this case, will make people visiting restaurants a little more at ease seeing food photos and their corresponding dishes from other Guides! 🙂

@AriMar This is a really useful feature, love to see the menu before attending the restaurant to see average price and variety. Also perfect when posting dishes photos after leaving the restaurant in order to write the correct name. Great!

Whenever i visit a restaurant, I always take a photograph of the menu and post that to the google maps. I find it very helpful to see the dishes and prices for either lunch or dinner. Well done!
