Hi guys,
I would like to share ideas about how to improve reviews reliability on google Maps. In fact, there are lot of reviews on Google Maps. The problem is that some reviews are real, some are good, some are bad but some reviews are fake. These fake reviews deceive futur customers about the place.... The last but not the least, some fake contributors get paid for such reviews. This is for me a big issue.
So let brainstorm on this issue in order to improve reviews reliability!
Here are my thoughts and suggestions about this issue:
- Upload proof of experience:
When someone make a review, Google Maps proposes to upload photos. There should be another option that could be call for example "Proof of experience". The reviewer would then have the obligation to upload a photo of the front of the shop or the bill of the hotel, restaurant or monument.
The moderation could be done by a software and manual moderation would be on rejected reviews and flag reviews.
Profils with too many fake proofs of experience would be excluded.
- Posting reviews to be possible only when "my travel" option is switched on:
As many fake reviews are made by people that have never been to the place reviewed, it should be only possible to make review when the place has been visited.
It will limite the quantity of reviews but will improve the quality.
What do you think? Have you got any suggestions?
See you
