Introduction:
When it comes to media contributions on Google Maps, video has clearly become the new frontier. Therefore, measuring and analysing their impact compared to that of fellow Local Guides, especially our peers, can help us improve the “quality” of our video contributions. This is precisely what this post is all about.

The post consists of a series of leaderboards dedicated to showcasing the videos of participating Local Guides from over a 100 countries and you can also join in. You don’t have to be a “top gun” Level 10 Local Guide with a mega million views to participate! So, whether you’re an entry level Local Guide or from a small country, town or village, or a top level Local Guide from London, New York or New Delhi, you can participate and showcase your video shooting prowess, and it’s simple to do! If you want to jump on board, simply hit this link or just leave a comment below and someone will jump in to assist you.

Is this just a competition?

While there is an inherent competitive element within them, the Leaderboards are more than just seeing who has the “best” photos or videos, or the most photo or video views, far from it! They have been specifically designed to motivate us, help us to monitor our contributions and performance, and show us how to improve and make better contributions so that we achieve better results, and all in a fun and friendly way. Readme - How to Read the Video leaderboards (April, 2025)

Briefly, this is what you need to know about the leaderboards in this post. For more details see the leaderboard documentation and the Leaderboard System’s online context-sensitive help information.

1. The leaderboards in this post present details about the video views of hundreds of participating Local Guides from all over the world. As well as an overall leaderboard ranking the top 100 Local Guides by video views, you will see leaderboards for different Local Guide levels which provide you with direct comparisons of your video views achievements with that of your peers. There’s also a leaderboard that shows the top 100 Local Guides ranked by the Average Views/Video which gives a good indication of the overall “quality” of all videos taken by each Local Guide. This is simply calculated by dividing the Local Guide’s total video views value (impact) by the number of contributed videos (volume). Of course. the use of the term “quality” here refers to the attractiveness of the videos to the Google AI and the viewing public.
2. Where shown, [ ] around leaderboard sequence numbers indicate that this is the first time that the Local Guide has participated on the Top 100 Local Guides leaderboards.
3. Where shown, ( ) around leaderboard sequence numbers indicate that this Local Guide levelled up/down onto this leaderboard.
4. An asterisk (*) shown after a Connect Username indicates that that Local Guide is a Connect Moderator.
5. Double asterisks (**) shown after a Connect Username indicates that that Local Guide is a Googler.
6. Hovering over a Local Guide’s username will display the ID number used to integrate that Local Guide’s details on the Leaderboards System and Connect; the umbilical chord if you will between the two disparate systems.
7. Selecting a Connect Username will take you to that Local Guide’s Connect Profile.
8. Local Guides whose Maps profile is set to private are excluded from the Leaderboards.
9. A ? or the words “Not set” in a cell indicates that the respective value hasn’t been provided by or cannot be determined for the respective Local Guide.
10. The data for the leaderboards in this post was read at 1015 on Friday, May 2, 2025 (UTC).
11. If you’re a participating Local Guide you must check the leaderboards for any errors or omissions and if you find any, then please add the details in a comment on this post. Regarding omissions, please note point 9 above.

Thanks @AdamGT rất nhiều tháng trước tôi đã hẹn gặp bạn ở bảng cấp độ 8 và tôi đã làm được. Và lại còn là 1 thứ hạng dễ nhớ cấp độ 8 với thứ hạng 8, có lần tôi cũng đạt được thứ hạng 7 với cấp 7 không biết bạn có nhớ không <3
