As part of Help others choose sustainability with Google Maps, I discovered this Eco friendly store which sells Recycled and eco friendly Bags and Books.
Sanchi Bags is situated in the heart of Trivandrum, near to Central Railway Station. Actually Sanchi means Bag in English but Sanchi Bags can mean Bags that are made from Coconut husk or Jute.
They are one of the few stores that sell completely Eco-Friendly bags to their customers. Sanchi Bags are occasionally used for various events in Kerala and they are the main manufacturer for it.
Apart from Bags and clothes, they also put up books and notepads from recycled papers and clothes.
Clothes are collected from local Women Vendors. Sanchi Bags is orginally an initiative from a woman entrepreneur where she developed and successfully made it eco friendly.
