In November last year, I had the pleasure to attend an incredible event - Google Connect Live 2019 for Local Guides ( if you are interested, you can find my recap post here ). Despite being busy with lots of activities there, I was eager to find some time for street art hunting Unfortunately I didnāt have a chance to spot as many graffiti as in San Francisco (you can find these in other post Street art heaven in San Francisco , as well as post about murals from my home city Street art heaven in Bielsko-Biala ), but I would like to share with you what I found in San Jose, CA
Lately Iāve started my new Instagram profile about street art, check it out @streetart.heaven .
As I can tell, they are colorful pieces of art, Iām full of respect for artists who created them. My favorite wall paintings here are these with āSan Joseā name included, they are great spots for selfies! Thanks to my friend @OSAMA , I could post here an example of his awesome Instagram shot.
San Jose is such a colourful place @AniaKiser I really didnāt expect it given its a business centre with almost no tourism but there is a thriving street art culture!
WOW! Thatās so amazing. This is really what it takes to be a great local guide. Itās all about being persistent, and consistently putting in more efforts and reaching the last mile so that people could get a glimpse of places theyāve never thought existed or would have existed before. But as the local guideās community has got intellectuals like you, soon people will start to experience the other side of the world without getting to step their foot and could also help travellers or tourists have positive views about their dream destinations without facing difficulties.
How lucky you are, been to such a place that one can not believe about these paintings are painted on walls. It signifies the cultural approach of the people living in San Jose. Thank you very much.
@OSAMA Iām grateful for your comment. Like I"ve told you before, you should be a model
@Nyainurjanah I didnāt stay any longer in San Jose then the period of CL2019. I wasnāt expecting any interesting street art in SJ, but I went for a walk twice and thatās what I found
Nice insides about San Jose @AniaKiser . I remember most of the painting, but not all of them.
Before the local guide program I wasnāt interested at all in street art, this does change. So thank you for posting. @OSAMA is also photo bombing here???!!
@TorM Iām glad you like street art now. Iām sure there are many interesting examples of wall paintings in Germany! Maybe you can share at least one here?
These paintings from Glasgow are amazing @TorM WOW! I was visiting Glasgow last autumn, but I was there only for one day, no time to spot any street art This one from Berlin is very famous! I remember it. To be honest, Berlin wall was one huge street art gallery.
