Hello all Road Mappers,
I know I am early but rather than have dozens of posts we are trying to keep things organized and neat and tidy.
Following the idea by our Captain @SholaIB , I am lucky enough to have been selected to start this months thread.
Normally, we receive the emails during the first week of the month (on different dates for different people). I started this thread on the 1st so that whoever receives the email first can share their highlights here in the comments.
Any questions please ask , there’s lots of guides who are willing to help
Thanks for starting this month’s thread, @TerryPG (and great idea from Captain @SholaIB to keep it all in one place).
Reporting in from Japan — I’m at around 1,057 roads now, steadily filling in smaller streets and spots that were still missing on the map here. Slow and steady, but every approved road feels rewarding
Still building toward my first big milestone, so threads like this are really motivating. Happy mapping, everyone!
Now, have you ever heard about road mapper site? This thread is really about those who have access to Road Mapper site. It’s adding roads on a different site but it’s all Google maps.
Thank you so much, @SholaIB I looked up the TORM index page as you suggested and went ahead and submitted the Road Mapper Access form — thank you for pointing me there!
Congratulations again on TRAC '26, and the celebration meet-up sounds wonderful. One honest note: English isn’t my strongest language, so live calls are a little hard for me, but I’d be very happy to take part through text and written messages.
Looking forward to being part of this community. Thank you, and please take care of me going forward! Cheers from Tokyo
Thanks for being early and proactive @TerryPG. I’ll be back if I get an email for May, but I never got my April one. It seems to me that Google is inconsistent in sending out the monthly emails.
Thank you for sharing your May Road Mapper achievement. In the spirit of tracking our community’s progress, I am glad to share my own achievements for May 2026. It is a pleasure mapping alongside such a dedicated group.
That brings me to just over 5000 km from 5000 challenges, therefore maintaining my average above 1 km per challenge.
My relatively low numbers in March to May were based on minimal participation to keep the streak going while focusing on the TRAC campaign in the desktop Google Maps editor. Then the streak finally got broken (again) when I went on an overseas trip in the second half of May.
Thank you for sharing your May Road Mapper achievement. In the spirit of tracking our community’s progress, I am glad to share my own achievements for May 2026. It is a pleasure mapping alongside such a dedicated group.
Just letting you know, I’ve brought your post into the main celebration thread. This way, we can keep everything nicely organised, and everyone can enjoy all the contributions.
Before the posting, always search similar topics on Connect.
Thank you for starting June achievement thread for Road mapper. Sorry for the glitch @JustJake, I believe next month should be your turn proper. I saw your message on telegram, but @NareshDarji already merged it, thank you.
I have noticed a delay in the approval pattern even on Road Mapper too. We hardly know what is going on behind the scenes of Roads on Google maps. It used to be that we had swift and rapid approvals. Now it is delaying as well. Anyway, we move on. We, on the TRAC/TORM team can’t be stopped. we will keep on playing our little role.
We will be gearing up for starting TORM in October @JustJake . You haven’t been very really available these days. Sure, you are busy with lots of things. we should start talking about TORM sometime soon.
Thanks to all who are sharing their achievements and keeping the community active.
@GolamAgam your performances are always impressive.
During the month, I contributed 542 km of roads, with 90% of my submissions accepted into Google Maps. Knowing that these contributions can help people navigate more easily and improve map coverage makes every challenge worthwhile.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this month was the opportunity to map missing roads across 7 different countries, including DR Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Myanmar, and Nigeria. It’s amazing to think that, from my desk, I can help improve mapping accessibility for communities around the world.
Top Contributing Country: Kenya Roads Added in Kenya: 160 km
Since joining Road Mapper, I have now contributed a total of 1,415 km of roads and completed 1,773 challenges. Watching these milestones grow continues to motivate me to support the mapping community and help make Google Maps more accurate and useful for everyone.
A big thank you to the Road Mapper team and fellow Local Guides for the ongoing inspiration and encouragement. I look forward to contributing even more in the months ahead!
